It's due to bacteria in the scalp and dry scalp for sure, does anyone know anything that'll help?Hair loss at teenage?
I'm losing a lot of hair too and I'm a teen. I thought i was going bald or something but my mom told me its normal. It depends if you have enough vitamin B's or maybe it's stress, but mainly its normal. The more you think about it, the more hair you'll lose. Or, you can try changing your shampoo. That helps too. =]Hair loss at teenage?

Vitamins for Hair Loss

Modern hairloss treatment
http://geebal.blogspot.com/2007/10/hair-鈥?/a>
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

Teenage girl hair loss?
so ive been losing a LOT of hair latley, mostly in the shower. my hair gets really sweaty and greasy so i have to wash it every day but i try to lower it to every other day and im really scared. ive been REALLY stressed out these last couple of weeks and i even switched back from herbal essences dangerously straight stuff back to head and shoulders and dove therapy conditioner. im going to the doctor sometime this week for it but i was wondering if someone could help me?
im not on birth control, i dont use acne medication. i barley style my hair anymore and when i do i only straighten my bangs and use hairgel to scrunch my hair. idk what to do anymore :( thanksTeenage girl hair loss?
as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)
It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair! I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!Teenage girl hair loss?

it is normal for people to lose a fair amount of hair. it is especially noticed in the shower and/or when brushing/styling hair. this is because you are grooming the hair and pulling away the shedding hair.
hair grows in spurts. and while it is constantly replenishing new hair, it is shedding or getting rid of the old hair.
this is normal.
however, if you are getting bald spots, or your hair is thinning terribly, seek medical attention. this could be due to a keratin deficiency (protein in body that grows hair and nails)
or it could be a condition known as alopecia (which makes hair fall out)
Since as far back as I can remember, I've shed A TON of hair. And I stress on the ';TON'; part (my hair is already very fine and thin, by the way). (: It can be triggered by a lot of things, including stress. That is what stuck out most to me in your question. Also, from my own experience, it seems pretty normal that most girls (especially teen aged ones) lose quite a bit of hair, and also older women. You may want to choose a shampoo and conditioning system that is specifically made to promote strong, healthy hair. But definitely don't worry about it unless you start to notice your hair really thinning out, resulting in bald spots.
hi,
i had a lot of hair loss too, especially with stress. i tried all sorts of vitamins for hair %26amp; herbs for stress, but nothing worked. this isn't to say that junk food and unhealthy habits don't matter! but about a year ago i started taking biotin, 5mg per day--i just started taking 2 pills a day, don't know why i didn't think of that before :D 'oh!
it didn't stop overnight but after a month or two my hair stopped falling out. whereas before i would get a depressing handful of hair every time i washed or brushed my hair, now i get less than 10 strands falling out. my hair is growing faster and is so thick that even a clerk at my grocery store, where i've been shopping for a few years, complimented me yesterday!
there are expensive ';hair skin %26amp; nails'; vitamins you can take, but i've been using just biotin. i get it from vitacost.com, a 10-month supply for $12.
many people have recommended silica to me for healthy hair. just 2 or 3 days ago i started taking silica in the form of DE (diatomaceous earth--it sounds weird but i did lots of research), and today when i brushed my hair, i swear only 2 or 3 strands came out! i've bought ';biosil'; in the past, $25-35 for 60 capsules, but i got a 5lb bag of DE for $8.

Teenage hair loss...?
For the past about 5 months, my hair has been coming out, not in clumps, just more when brushing and washing it etc, and thinning slightly. Is this hormones, or could it be my diet which isn't that great?Teenage hair loss...?
Teenage hair loss is becoming more and more common even in girls as young as 13. The best natural remedy for female hair loss are aromatherapy scalp formulas using essnetial oils such as rosemary, peppermint, basil etc. You can make your own or purchase from the source below.
There are many possible causes. You can read about the common causes of teenage hair loss here: http://ezinearticles.com/?Common-Causes-鈥?/a>
Teenage hair loss...?
It could be genetic (any baldness in your family?), high stress, or poor diet. Also, don't brush excessively. That can cause your hair to fall out faster.
To make your hair seem fuller than it is, use volumizing products. Also, putting olive oil in your hair as a masque ten minutes before you shower works pretty well, I've always found.
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm鈥?/a>
acne meds like accutane and tretinoin cream cause hair loss and certain birth control pills with low estrogen %26amp; higher androgen hormones in them. also a major stress event can cause telogen effluvium--where the hair has a big shed in the body's response to stress
if your on a diet hair loss is symtom of anarexia so id go to the doctor
well write what you eat or how many calories you eat a day! and ill edit my answer for you1

Teenage hair loss?
i started discovering these bald patches at the crown area when i was just 15. now im 19 and the problem is still there.. i've used expensive hair tonics but it doesnt seem to work.. recently i found out that my hair loss might be due to oily scalp.. what can i do?
p.s i have dry and curly hairTeenage hair loss?
My youngest brother started going bald on the top of his head at 14 years of age. He hadn't even started growing a beard yet! The doctors told him that he had inherited his male pattern baldness, and there was nothing he could do about it. (This was the 60's.)
Now he has a full head of hair like he never had in the past, but he went through five years of hair transplant treatments that cost him the equivalent of a German sports car to achieve.Teenage hair loss?
Go to a hormonal doctor, an endrocronologist and have them do some hormonal tests to make sure everything is okay. My bf started getting bald spots around 24 but 15 seems very young. This is important 'cause you want to nip it in the bud before you're completely bald at 21! It has nothing to do with an oily scalp, dry hair, or curly hair! I have all those and have a beautiful thick, head full of hair! See that doctor!
Hi,
I would suggest that you work on this from a twin approach.. from outside in and inside out.
Our hair growth is not just dependent on the state of the health of our hair or scalp. Sometimes it is also linked to whether or kidneys are functioning ok and whether our body is too acidic.
if your body is too acidic. i would suggest a detox to cleanse it.
At the same time, you can consider other stuff to encourage hair growth.. like my hubby started using this showerhead tat filters away chlorine and that helps in promoting hair growth and lots of baby hair started to grow on his scalp.
Actually, I would suggest that you actually do an iris scan. For a mere $10, you can find out the condition of your health and may also find out the reason to your hair loss problem. Most importantly, the iris analyst will be able to give you solutions to how to solve this problem.
if you are keen, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com
From what you are describing, when you say you have an oily scalp but dry hair it sounds like seborrhea dermatitis, a condition in which your oil is so thick, it can not escape the pores of your scalp. There are prescription shampoos that can help with that, or get a good dandruff shampoo as they contain a coal tar that is useful in treating the scalp.
Hope this helps you.

Teenage hair loss!!!?
ok so maybe i asked this question before but i wanna be a bit more specific.
i'm a 15 yr old female. And i've noticed that my hair has been falling out alot whenever i brush it. Like about 10 strands or something. Even when i only brush the sides 2-3 strands fall out. It wasn't like that before but it started at the start of february and it's winter here. So i asked my mom about it and she said it's normal to shed but i have never lost this much when brushing before. Sometimes it will just fall out. I went to see a dermatologist and he didn't seem to listen to me and said it's normal as well (i hate him!!). I'm not stressed or anything. My diet's pretty normal. It's just been like everyday except my hair just suddenly started shedding this year. Is it hormones or something? And i feel really envious of my little sister when she brushes her hair next to me and only 2 or 3 strands fall out. I'm getting a haircut tomorrow, up to my shoulders but i'm not sure if it will help.plz replyTeenage hair loss!!!?
I am sorry to break this to you, but you might have Alopecia Areata.

Do you have acne? Weight mostly on your stomach? I don't know- hair loss in women is a sign of PCOS. As is losing hair and it starts like that. I started like that as a teen- just shedding everywhere and now I am starting to have male pattern baldness (thank goodness for women's rogaine) I actually do have PCOS and it took me about 10 years to figure it out and get a doctor to take me seriously.
You need not worry much about hair fall if its not unusually rampant. Its common that hair falls and new hair gets generated.
Its also true that hair fall takes place if you had fallen sick and you are recovering.
Hair fall also takes place if you are not able to absorb Zinc from food owing to digestive disorders and you are unable to understand the same.
therefore you may consult a doctor and take necessary help if needed.
well i think it is normal but maybe a hair cut will help or it could be that ur stressed bout somethin.....
it's nothing to worry about. it's pretty normal even if it's happening more now than before. it may well be stressed. you don't have to feel particularly stressed to actually BE stressed. youre body may be under stress or it could be subconscious. your a teenager and teenagers go through a lot. the shampoo and conditioner suggestion was good. you may need to change those. try garnier. it's not so expensive, but if you don't want to spend that much, suave is cheaper. they are both good brands. herbal essences is also good. it could also be the hair products you may use such as hairspray, gels, mousse, etc. if you straighten your hair, you could have the kind of hair that reacts badly to that so just don't straighten it. also if you sprunch your hair those products are not really very good for your hair. it doesn't matter what the bottle says or what company it's from. the chemicals that make your hair sprunch aren't good for your hair. honestly, it sounds very normal though. i wouldn't worry about it.
i wouldn't say that you have Alopecia Areata. it sould be a bigger difference. i learned about that in class a while back and more hair will come out. usually it will just fall out on its own and you'll see clumps of hair on your clothes all the time. this does honestly sound like a typical thing. hair comes out on my brush too especially of it's tangled.
People shed at least 100 hairs a day. It's particularly normal at this time of year, when the air is cold and dry. Don't feel bad, I had the same reaction when I went to a dermatologist. A good hairdresser can give you strengthening treatments that will help improve the overall health and elasticity of your hair. So, give that a try.
Believe me, I've been there, it can be really stressful, having hair breakage.
Hi,
In my opinion, you're too young to take medication for hair loss. I'd try some home remedies, like the following:
* Make lettuce and spinach juice and mix them together. Wash your face with the mixture daily.
* Break one egg and apply on your hair for 1 hour, massage your hair a few times for better results.
* Pour olive oil on your head and massage it into your scalp to prevent more hair loss.
* Boil water in a pot and add rosemary leaves, mix and cook until you get a mixture. Wait for 30 minutes and apply on your hair.
* Massage Aloe Vera into your scalp wash it with lukewarm water.
* Mix honey and egg yolk and apply on your hair. Let it stand for 20-40 minutes and wash well with cold water so it won't stick.
* Use coconut milk instead of shampoo when washing your hair.
* Henna is very good for the hair, it makes it shine and also very good when losing hair. Apply henna on your hair, let it stand for a few minutes but not too long or your hair will turn red.
* Mix rosemary leaves with lemon, egg white, and olive oil. Apply on your hair for 20-40 minutes and wash with cold water.
* Smear honey on your scalp, let it stand for 20 minutes and wash with warm water. Be careful the honey might stick to your hair, use only with short hair.
Good luck
It could be that your under alot of stress... That does cause hairloss. But It could be conditioners, Shampoos and such that you are allergic to that could be causing it. idk. You should see a hair doctor.

Teenage Hair Loss?
My sister is seventeen and she is losing hair in such a way that it is noticeable and that one can see her scalp at various areas atop her scalp. She is generally losing hair along her hair line, and near the back top of her crown. She has noticably been losing hair for about a year and she has an irregular menstrual cycle. At one point, she did not have her period for six months! Also, she is around 10-15 pounds overweight and although she has been tested for thyroids and poly cystic sydrome (or something like that)--all of her tests came back normal. She loses a lot of hair daily and her hair is always dry and frizzy, however when she goes without showering for even one day, her hair appears really oily and her hair loss is even easier to spot. She used to have thick, rich, luscious hair--and now we don't know what's happened. Can anyone help? She is very insecure about it. Also, her mother seemed to have lost a bit of hair around the age of seventeen as well. What to do?Teenage Hair Loss?
I use to work for a hair loss clinic here in australia and although female hair loss is uncommon it does happen and hair loss can happen in all ages. Our youngest patient was 17 and went right up to men in there 50's. Ladies are very insecure about there hair loss. Usually as you are on the right track it is a sign of over active thyroids or poly cystic sydrome. It is normal to lose over 100 hairs a day, but from what you explained she may be loosing to much to be having a receeding hairline. Believe it or not, the male pattern baldness men experience is usually passed on through the mother (thus your mum thinning out). It doesn't really explain your sister. Do you have any places near where you live that do consultations on hair loss? Where I worked Consultations were free and you got a lot of useful information. For females they may require the blood test results, most likely, thyroid tests, hormone tests, estrogen levels. Take those along with you and her and see what they reccomend. Although using a place like this can be quite costly you may just find out exactly what is the cause. The longer she leaves it the harder repairing it will be.
I am not sure where you live but if you can get your hands on Saw Palmetto (vitamin) it will reduce the amount of hair falling out.
Other things to consider - climate (temperature and humidity), shampoo (some weaken your hair), and diet (low iron can make your hair fall out) as well as anorexia, drug usage (some drugs make your hair fall out ie steroids or speed).Teenage Hair Loss?
A dermatologist could help you with that. They would give you shots in the bald spot areas and prescribe a product that might help.
My sister used to have a few bald spots, but her hair grew back with the help of shots (the dermatologists assistant will numb the area and you will only feel a little sting for like a sec.) , she uses Womens Rogaine, and for conditioner and shampoo she uses Back to Basics.
tell your sister to go for a check up that could be a sign of cancer
get the vitamin Biotin 1000mcgs....its for skin, hair %26amp; nails...it really works!...But she has to take it everyday and not stop taking it
Ask your doctor. There's a disorder called alopesia (sp?) where you lose a lot of your hair.
If your sisters family has a side of hair loss then that could be the problem. If you notice any side of her family with baldness or very thin hair then she will have very thin hair. This is very normal, it happens all the time. Hope my advice is helpful for your sister. You also might want to think about using Tresseme' or Aussie hair shampoo and conditioner for the whole frizzy and damaged thing. Thanks, ^^^Brandon^^^

Female Pattern Baldness (FPB) effects 1 out of every 4 women in the United States. Recent findings have found that the incidence of FPB has been reported to be as low as 8% and as high as 87%. And, it does appear to be as common for women as for men. Most often, menopause is the most frequent time for female hair loss to become apparent
For women hair loss can be even more troubling than for men. Female hair loss is not generally accepted as part of the normal aging process. Society has come to expect a thick, luxurious head of hair as part of the attractiveness in women.
While men and women can both experience pattern baldness, they typically do not lose their hair in the same order or appearance.

Teenage girl wants to stop hair loss?
Ok, I've been shedding since I was 12. Tons of hair falls out through out the day. I know its suppose to be normal to lose a 100 hairs a day but my hair is thinning WAY too much and my friends dont lose nearly as much hair as me. I'm guessing its cuz i dont eat veggies, but is there specific foods that nourish hair or anything i can do? I DONT WANT TO HAIR BARELY OR NO HAIR PLZ HELPTeenage girl wants to stop hair loss?
First off,you probably should get a doctors appt, this may be medical,a thyriod issue...are you on any medications?Certain meds can cause hair loss too.
Protein is the most impotant,meat,fish,eggs,milk,nuts...hair is made up of Keratin, which is protein.
Get on some Vitamins...here's the best hair boosters;
Multi-Vitamin daily
Biotin(2,500 mgs)daily
Omega 3,6%26amp;9 Complex daily
Hair/skin/nail Formula daily
This is the best combo, and it is safe,Biotin is water soluble, meaning anything your body does not use will be expelled via the urine.
Omega(paticularly 3)(fish oil),is something that is needed in the body, our bodies can NOT manufacture it on it's own,it must be consumed through diet, and the 6%26amp;9 in addition are wonderful for skin/hair/nails as well.
Vitamins also work in synergy, meaning that some will not be absorbed properly(or at all)without the addition of others,so that's the importance of the multi-vitamin.
And the HSN Formula is just a ';boost'; in addition to the rest.
I'd still advise a docotors appt though, asap!Just to be safe.Teenage girl wants to stop hair loss?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
You should take plenty of green vegetables, fruits, sprouts, honey, cereals, nuts, grains and milk products in your diet. Eat fish if non-vegetarian or else take soybeans, and raw vegetable salads. Good balanced diet keeps your skin and hair healthy. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Hair loss for teenage girls?
I'm only 14, turning 15 in May.
I've been losing alot of hair lately, in the showers and just combing it.
I try to not use a brush, just a comb. And I try not to condition alot, maybe 3 times a week?
My hair's getting really thin, and I'm getting super scared.
Is there anything I can use to make my hair thicker like before? Shampoos?
I heard something about horse shampoo before, but I've never tried it.
Helllllppppppp!!!Hair loss for teenage girls?
i have the same problem!
the shower drain gets clogged
fast because of the amount
of hair i lose. i tried switching

Loss or absence of hair, also known as alopecia is a hereditary and unavoidable condition. In some men it can be a side effect of medication, a dietary deficiency or hormonal imbalance.
You can help reduce the effects of hair loss from stress, trauma, shock or illness by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants.
Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.
Here you may find some more information and prevention methods of hair loss: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id134.ht鈥?/a>
u should not wash your hair more than thrice a week as shampoo is only for cleansing action.try oiling your hair once a week let them remain overnight and wash them in the morning.
this thing has done a great job on my hairs
Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out
http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
you may want to get this checked out by a doctor. I had a fever so bad once that i lost so much hair. You could be having a reaction to something. Maybe change your shampoo or carefully go through your daily hair-care routine and see what is effecting your hair loss. Maybe a hairspray or chemicals in a pool you swim in can cause an allergic reaction. Go to a doctor-that should answer your question.

Hair loss at teenage?
I lost way too much hair and now it looks like less than a quarter from before! I
It's due to bacteria in the scalp and dry scalp for sure, does anyone know anything that'll help?Hair loss at teenage?
Hmm...bacteria???
I feel that should approach a trichiologist. They will be able to identify the bacteria and prescribe the rite anti biotics. With shampoo and tonic.
Just coz that doc is not beliving you, u should not avoid doctor. If the bacteria lives feeding on your scalp then you are in for lots more of serious prob. So don't delay.
If u really think its no that serious. Try aleast to figure ou wheher that is dandruff. Get good dandruff shampoo like selsun blue or neutrogena t gel. if not go for shampoo with antiseptic propeties. Like tea tree oil.
You can boil neem leaves and use it to rinse your hair %26amp; scalp.
Or maybe add apple cider vinegar to water. 1 part to 5 parts of water. Use it as last rinse.Hair loss at teenage?
Oil ur hair everyday with coconut oil. It'll help to reduce ur dry scalp or try any homeopathic shampoo, it'll help to prevent hair loss also it has no side effects.Good Luck! :)
How do you know you have bacteria in the scalp?
-possibly try a diffrent shampoo product?
-see a specialist
-majority of times.....its all boils down to genetics
you may try simple hair loss problem treatment, such as this one: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id134.ht鈥?/a>
yet, I can't guarantee it'll work for you.
Try adding a couple drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo and conditioner. Gently massage your scalp to increase circulation. Your circulation is what determines how fast and well your hair will grow. Tea Tree oil is a natural antiseptic.
Leave both the shampoo and the conditioner on your hair and scalp for a few minutes to penetrate.
Now..it could also be related to stress, some medications, and even bulimia or anorexia.
If you want to buy a product to help instead, try the Nioxin line.

Sometimes teens lose hair because of stress or hormone imbalances. Other times, it's because of poor nutrition. Be sure you're eating properly and taking vitamins. If that doesn't help, by all means see your doctor. Wihle rogaine and infusium treatments can help with retaining/restoring hair, it's best to address the underlying cause and, at your age, it could be many things.Hair loss at teenage?
NERVES CAN DO IT, CALM DOWN AND MEDITATE
First make an appointment with your doctor so you can get a referral to a specialist to see if you really have a problem. Most people do shed seasonally. The Fall seems to be when most of my hair is falling out. It looks a lot worse if you have long hair and then when you finish blow drying it and there is hair everywhere! Make sure you get any problem you have properly diagnosed though and follow the specialists instructions.
Perhaps you should visit your doctor and see what he/she has to reccomend...but until then try rogain. My mom used to use that and it seemed to help whens he was going through hairloss due to something that could be similar.

Teenage Girl Hair Loss?
I was born with fairly thick straight blonde hair you would expect a child to have, but around 12 years old or so, it turned thin and curly. I am 17 now and you can see bald patches at my sides and on top of my scalp. The ratio of the bulb of the hair is very tiny comparing to the hair shaft and my hair just becomes more and more curly and falls out, especially when I brush it. Has anyone experienced this before? Doctors have checked my blood and there seems to be nothing that supports this....any advice?Teenage Girl Hair Loss?
anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered very much from hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also I used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/why.php
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!
good luck!

It could be due to a bad diet. If your diet hasn't changed, and neither have your bowel movements it could be hormonal and linked to your lack of period. You can get your testosterone and estrogen levels checked.

Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also you should use some herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165
It restores hair follicles by blocking DHT!!!
good luck!

It could be due to a bad diet. If your diet hasn't changed, and neither have your bowel movements it could be hormonal and linked to your lack of period. You can get your testosterone and estrogen levels checked.
Teenage male hair loss ?
Ok, so I know that usually the average person loses some hair each day, but I'm losing much more than normal (around 40-50 hairs a day, sometimes more). I'm 17 and have no history anywhere in my family of hair loss, let alone early hair loss. I've noticed lately, too that I have had some bad dandruff and scalp itchiness associated with this.
Any suggestions? It's kind of embarrassing for someone like me.Teenage male hair loss ?
I'd go see your general doctor. It seems kind of unusual for a young guy to be losing hair especially since there's no family history. It could be some sort of skin disease especially since you're having itchiness and dandruff.Teenage male hair loss ?
';Although it varies from one individual to another, the average number of hairs on a person's head is about 100,000. The number of hairs varies according to gender, age, race, hair color, and genetic makeup. Most people shed between 50 and 100 hairs daily.';
So you have nothing to worry about

Teenage girl hair loss?
I'm 15 years old and within the last month I've realized my hair falling out. When I take showers it ends up in the drain and by the end of the week theres almost a handful of hair collected. I'm not sure what the hair loss is caused from.
If anyone knows what it's caused from I'd really appreciate answers.
Thanks!Teenage girl hair loss?
There can be a number of reasons for hair loss... Poor diet, illness, stress, pollution or using a product which does not suit you.
A normal person loses 80-150 hair everyday. Its natural. Anything in excess of that is not normal.Teenage girl hair loss?
There is a number of things that can cause hair loss.

Are you a vegetarian, if you are that may be the cause. It happened to my friend(age 16) and she started eating meat.

Are there any really effective remedies for teenage hair loss?
Hi! I have never ever had problems with my hair but 2 months ago I suddenly started losing WAY too much hair (approximately 500 a day). By far I've lost almost 1/2 of my hair and it keeps on falling! I take 6 pills of Revalid every day, an iron supplement and drink disgusting horsetail and nettle to stop it but nothing seems to work. I am really worried, I'm just 18 and really don't want to lose all my hair. Did anyone have similar problem? Can you recommend an effective remedy? Oh, and yes, I have consulted a specialist, he said that I should take iron supplements... Please, please, help me! :)Are there any really effective remedies for teenage hair loss?
as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed or/and Provilluss (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)
Those are a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

Call at least 3 dermatologists and talk to the receptionist asking them: Does your doctor treat hair lost? Don't go to an osteopathic doctor.
Stop taking the Revalid, iron supplements, nettle and horsetail because they are not doing anything to stop it let alone reverse it.
There are many reasons why people lose their hair, from pharmaceuticals, herbs, stress, disease, genetics, etc.
Go to some other doctors.
There is a disease that hits teenagers that causes major hairloss and you'll want to start treatments soon.
If you don't have the disease then I suggest using Rogain for Women.
';My daughter is a little girl from Akron who is suffering with Alopecia Areata. I can tell you that we are so impressed with the results we must have more. With consistent, regular treatment we found that hair started to grow in patches.
We were not sure that the results were from your product so we stopped for several months. Beverlee lost whatever growth she had with no potential for re-growth on its own. We then committed ourselves to using Provillus for women, and once again after six weeks of treatment her scalp started sprouting hair.';
so Get Provillus for yourself and get rid of Hair loss, hair fall, baldness and get hair regrowth :)

Help coping with teenage hair loss and depression?
Im a male teenager and my hair loss has gotten considerably bad because of dupa i think and i buzzed it now its obvious thinned and patchy loss all over and im trying to grow it back because i dont want to except being bald. I dont see myself when i look in the mirror anymore and its effecting my out going personality and school work. I even act differently with people. Being soo young with hairloss I dont like standing out for the wrong reasons. Because of the importance i put on my hair its one of the hardest things ill ever have to deal with id give 3 fingers just for 1 more year of hair. Does anyone have advice on how to cope..depression and same thoughts in my mind.Help coping with teenage hair loss and depression?
Losing your hair at a young age can be devastating. But keep in mind----there are guys out there including myself which have devastating conditions besides hairloss. Such as having asthma. I would give three fingers for 1 year of healthy lungs so I could breathe. EVERYONE has handicaps. YOu may have less hair, but the other guy who is 5ft 2 would give his right arm to be of normal height so he can get more girls. Or a guy would give his left leg so he could breathe. Or a guy who would give his right hand to lose weight. Again, everyone has handicaps. Accept it.
Now onto your problem. Here are 4 things that will work very well at growing your hair back.
1.)Finasteride.(proscar or generic form)
2.)Minoxidil(Rogaine)
3.)Nizoral shampoo
4.) Head and Shoulders
These products have been proven to grow back a moderate amount of hair. They work. They are scientifically proven to work.

i loose alot of hair a day, its all over the floors and people in my household are sick of it. i dont know where it comes from, but if i sit here picking at it all day i can almost pull out about 50 pieces in about 2or3 goies. but the thing is with me my hair is very thick, and it dosent look like im going to be bald any time sooner.
how lucky is that?
I think that you should go to your docs. There are many treatments available that can delay hair loss as well as products that can stimulate regrowth. There are different causes of baldness and your doctor will be able to find out which pattern baldness you have.
You can try the following essential oils for massage to reduce hair loss. Grapefruit, Jojoba oil, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
Bald heads are very sexy. Shave it all off.

TEENAGE HAIR LOSS.....need help!!!?
I'm only thirteen and I used to have really thick, curly hair. I used to straighten my hair once a month but I stopped ever since my hair started falling out (about an year ago). I know its normal to lose 50-100 hairs a day but I'm losing MUCH more than that and I don't know why. I eat a balanced diet and i don't have any medical conditions that would cause hair loss....everytime I see my hair fall out it makes me really sad...PLEASE HELP!!!!TEENAGE HAIR LOSS.....need help!!!?
get protein and biotin vitamins NEVER condition ur roots in ur life - it make hair fall out. wear ur hair only in LOOSE ponys never tighten it up. never apply gel or mousse keep the roots clean of every beauty product. consult a doctor for some good vitamins and eat a balanced veggie meat diet with lots of protein and no fried stuff.
shampoo with slightly hot water, then rinse the last time with cool to cold eventually water- this will prevent the hair loss alot.
Stop Hair falls*:
Juice of 陆 a lime along with coconut milk if massaged on the scalp and hair and kept for 2-3 hrs you will get wonderful result. After 2-3 hrs wash off with a herbal shampoo.
Soft hair*:
In one cup of coconut milk add two spoon of refined flour, three spoon of castor oil, one spoon of shikakai and amla powder and 1 spoon of honey. Mix well and rub on your scalp for 20 minutes. Wash with reetha water.
oil.
Prevent hair Loss*:
The application of coconut milk all over the scalp and massaging it into the hair roots is also beneficial in the treatment of hair loss. It nourishes the hair and promotes hair growth.TEENAGE HAIR LOSS.....need help!!!?
It could be your shampoo. Switch up your shampoo and if you can, rotate shampoo brands. A friend of mine swore up and down that Pantene was making her hair fall out and I used to laugh and think she was nuts but she went to the Dr and he ran a bunch of tests and said that she didn't have a deficiency or any other reason to be loosing chunks of hair, but when she switched shampoos, it stopped. I thought she was nuts, but when I stopped using Pantene, I noticed that I lost way less hair in the shower too. It must be the chemicals.
Im not a doctor or hairloss specialist lol, but im 13 too and i have alot of my hair fall out too its was worrying me at first but now i have to forgett about it, i dont no if theres any products or conditioner that can strengthen hair and stuff like that but when im in the shower ALOT of my hair falls out in clumps. But maybe your noticing your hair falling out more because your thinking about it alot. If you havent dyed your hair alot of times its probably just natural but like i say im not an expert x.
just trying to help ! x :]
Well ur problem may have started cause of the straightener or some chemical products that u may have used before...and for the fact that ur hair is thick and u have much may also be that cause...and also as a teen i know for experience that some may go through a lot of stress because of school problems...well i don't know if this will help but i just wanted to put that out and see if it'll help u and hope it does...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!
ok first of all don't worry! I HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE i was about 11 at that time and when ever i brushed my hair thousands would fall out i would think i was weak or something and i gotreally worried but seriously don't worry im all better now and i didn't even do anything but calm down you WILL get better!
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairfall.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Teenage Hair loss? Is this normal? please help, kind of scared...?
Okay. I am 15 years old and a Vegetarian. I recently have realized that every time I take a shower, brush my hair or even just run my fingers through my hair lots of hair has been coming out- as in like 10 pieces at a time. this happens EVERY time i run my hands through my hair, and it is always comes out in clumps. my scalp is somewhat sore, and i am to the point of tears because i am so worried about this. i heard things about it happening to vegetarians, but also i couldn't find any reasons or information.
please help me, im very scared and basically in tears right now...
thank you so much...Teenage Hair loss? Is this normal? please help, kind of scared...?
take some type of vitamins for protein, maybe?
have you been processing your hair a lot? (straightening, blow drying, dying, bleaching, perming..etc)
my hair is extremely over processed and falls out like CRAZY. it's not normal, i'm sure lol but my hair falls out in clumps aswell. its been like this for a little over a year and although it falls out people cant tell by looking at me haha kinda weird.
anyways, my advice to you is to take some vitamins for protein, and if you don't already do it try buying deep conditioning packets for your hair and use one once a week to make your hair stronger.
if you do process your hair, maybe cut it down a bit aswell or use products made to protect your hair from heat damage if straightening or something else is part of your daily routine.Teenage Hair loss? Is this normal? please help, kind of scared...?
Well, on an average a person loses 40-100 hairs per day. If you lose 10 hairs every time you run your fingers through or brush your hair than I would say that it is a problem. Not trying to worry you but you should see a doctor. You could have a vitamin deficiency which is causing the hair loss, or maybe a hormonal imbalance.
Definitely see a doctor in order to determine the cause because I don't think you should lose so much hair and your scalp should not feel sore unless you've been pulling your hair constantly.
im a vegetarian also and i know that my hair isn't as healthy as it could be because i dont get as much protein as people that eat meat since protein is in meat. Your hair might just be breaking off part way up the strand, not falling out. Mine used to do that too untill i started using shampoo and conditioner that has stengthening vitamins in it to help make hair stronger.
protein is what makes your hair stronger so maybe add more of that into your diet (tofu, soybean products, nuts, eggs).
I compltley understand your pain, however I dont think you have too much to worry about, it sounds like you might be anemic (lack of iron), hence the hairloss. You need to go to a doctor and a dematologist. If you catch your hair loss ealier and fix the problem, it will hopefully stop. good luck :D
You may need to eat meat. Knowing you're a vegetarian, is fine, you may need to eat meat. You're not getting protein in your body. Also, go to your doctor and see what he/her says.
proteins strengthen your hair(because your hair basically is protein). make sure to get your needed amino acids, take biotin
mine?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
i ';almost'; lost all my hair. i started using a product called provillus, its fore both men and wommen(seperate items)
here is a link to the product i used:
http://www.provillus.com/?aid=218838
it realy works
see a your physician. it could be a disorder and may need their attention.
I agree with Evan. It could be your diet. You should go talk to your parents and see a doctor.
normally i have an answer to questions like this and to people whos hair is thinning or something but I just think you need to go see a doctor. Especially since you're a vegetarian, it's ok but the fact that you're still really young, I mean you're only 15 so make sure you're getting all the nutrients and vitamins that you should be getting. Learn about other alternatives to meat.
On average, a person should normally lose anywhere from 35-50 strands of hair a day. It used to be 100/ day but studies have shown that it should be less.
At the rate you're going i would say you're losing about double (200/day) of what you should be losing.
there are many reasons...............all possible............
proteins strengthen your hair(because your hair basically is protein). make sure to get your needed amino acids, take biotin

you could have alopecia areata. It is when you just start to lose hair for no reason. If you don't see your doctor, it will get worse.my friend has alopecia areata. she is 13. well, she actually has aopecia univercialis. that is when you have no hair whatsoever AYWHERE on your body. It sucks. She used to wear a wig, but then she just told everyone one day during gym
*********Try reading the book called BECAUSE OF ANYA by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It will tell you more about alopecia areata.
First, don't stress too much, when you're relaxed, you lose less hair. It could be you're using too much conditioner(I had that happen to me) or your need a hair scalp treatment for nourishment. Try a hair skin and nails vitamin and take it as instructed. Check your hair habits, what do you usually do, when and how? Talk to your parents and see a dr. if you think there could be something seriously wrong, with your scalp sore and all. As for things happening to vegetarians, that's not really true. You need more facts to back that up and to actually meet some of those people in person, lol. Okay? I'm Vegan, and have been so for the past 20 years of my life and guess what? I have lovely, thick hair and no more trouble since I've switched conditioners and quit straightening it every day. Hang in there. You'll be fine.
please help me, im very scared and basically in tears right now...

Also, go to your doctor and see what he/her says.
proteins strengthen your hair(because your hair basically is protein). make sure to get your needed amino acids, take biotin

i ';almost'; lost all my hair. i started using a product called provillus, its fore both men and wommen(seperate items)
here is a link to the product i used:
http://www.provillus.com/?aid=218838
it realy works
see a your physician. it could be a disorder and may need their attention.
At the rate you're going i would say you're losing about double (200/day) of what you should be losing.
there are many reasons...............all possible............

you could have alopecia areata.
TEENAGE HAIR LOSS: 16, male, no family history. i need helps =[?
I'm 16.
I was diagnosed with telogen aflivium over a year ago.
The hair loss stopped for around 2 months.
Then, it started to fall out again. My hair is much thinner all over than it was before I experienced hair loss and there is no improvement.
Now, I am seeing a receading hair line.
There is no family history of hair loss. I straighten and shampoo my hair every day.
I have been drinking green tea, as well as massaging in natural oils at night saposed to help growth, they have not been helping. I have also tried rubbing my nails (balayam) to no success.
If i have male pattern baldness, WHAT DO I DO TO STOP AND REVERSE IT QUICKLY AND NATURALLY??? (or un naturally)TEENAGE HAIR LOSS: 16, male, no family history. i need helps =[?

Teenage Hair loss - should I wear a wig?
Hi,
I am an 18 year old teen and have been suffering from thinning hair for several years now. My scalp where my part is and a bit in the back has also been showing for several years too. In the morning when I wake up, hair will be on my pillow and fall on my shoulders. When I run my fingers through my hair, I will catch at least 10 pieces of loose hair. On average I loss 100+ a day and I have really little hair to begin with. Recently I went to a dermatologist and my family doctor also diagnosed me with alopecia but they said it would grow back. The dermatologist told me to take Biotin 5 mg and I have but the condition stayed the same if not worse. I also use strengthening shampoo by DCL, as recommended by my dermatologist. I am in one of the lowest periods of my life right now and have so little self esteem because of my balding. I eat rite and all my female cousins have thick and strong hair. I am up to the point where I just want to shave off my head and wear a wig but I don't know how much that would help. Everyone keeps telling me you wont go completely bald, that might be so, but even seeing my scalp and thinning more is bad enough. How can my hair grow fast enough to replace the many lost each day?! What can I do now?Teenage Hair loss - should I wear a wig?
Well, instead of shaving your hair and wearing a wig, how about getting clip in hairpieces to blend with your hair?
They have clip in topper pieces to clip in over the crown of your head. This addition hairpiece features three pressure sensitive clips for secure attachment and is perfect for hair loss on the crown of the head:
http://www.hairwares.com/Chameleon-Bang-Hair-Addition-by-Raquel-Welch-RW-CHAMELEON.htm
There are also some 3/4 fall wigs that allow you to pull some of your own hair through the cap so that it blends with your own hair. I would look at enhancer hairpieces. Hang in there! =)Teenage Hair loss - should I wear a wig?
i know it sucks but you can still look beautiful. i've have a couple of girl cousins with hair loss problems and guy friends. the guys i know with alopecia just shave their head. guys get off so easy with everything. but my girl cousins had it rough though. (cancer not alopecia but same hair loss, eventually going completely bald) my little cousin just wore cute hats and stuff but she was pretty young. my other cousin was in her late teens/early twenties. she didnt shave her head she just cut it short and started wearing wigs. and she always looked so cute. i wouldnt shave it for when the patches start growing back or if you want to wear a hat and have some pieces hanging out. it stinks but you can look mad cute with different wigs and if you have some hair left you can wear cute hats and people wont even know you have bald spots.
i hope this helped! = )

Teenage Hair loss please help me?
Im 16 and my hair is thinning and i have a smallish baldspot on top of my head :(
I straighten my hair sometimes, but always use a heat protector.
I try to leave it natural and use mousse on it.
I dont get why the heck im getting bald.
Its not fair cuz i know girls that damage their hair by dying it, bleaching it,
straightning, curling it,
and theyre not going bald. Makes me mad cuz i take care of my hair.
No one in my family has gone bald (well cept for my grandpa, but hes like 60..)
So its not genetic..
I eat right, so its not my diet...
Help me?Teenage Hair loss please help me?
If it is an actual smooth bald patch it may be alopecia areata. Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition that causes hair to fall out in patches.
It is becoming more common for teens to show early signs of androgenetic alopecia. This type of hair loss causes hair in certain areas (bang, top, crown) to become thinner, providing less scalp coverage. It does not cause an actual bald spot. Birth control pills or hormonal changes during puberty can trigger this condition in girls who are predisposed.
If you're noticing excessive shedding from all over the scalp it could be telogen effluvium. There are many possible causes for this type of hair loss. You can learn more about the types and causes of teenage hair loss and what to do about it at the articles linked below.Teenage Hair loss please help me?
That doesn't sound good...maybe you should stop straightening your hair altogether, cause its not doing you any good, cause that'll just cause more hair loss. You should see the doctors to see what your problem is..you could be not absorbing your vitamins correctly.
ps Dont shave all your hair off.
All the best
well just shave it off and move on just tell people you have cancer thats what id do.

I've got Teenage hair loss?
I've noticed that I've been losing a lot, I mean A LOT, of hair the last couple of days. If I pull my fingers lightly through my hair then about 10 strands of hair will come out with it. I used to have really thick hair and I had it thinned out a little about a month ago.
I'm 13, going on 14, and I've started my period. I've got normal body fat and normal diet (healthy diet)
Can anybody explain this to me?I've got Teenage hair loss?
if you lose ~100 strands per day then it is normal!!!
anyway you are going through puberty period!I've got Teenage hair loss?
There are lots of things that could cause hair loss. Stress, nutrition (do you drink enough water and get enough protein and vitamins?), water quality (hard vs. soft), new medication, etc. You might just need to change up your hair products. Also, with the weather becoming warmer you just may be experiencing some temporary increased shedding (kind of like what animals experience because they don't need as much hair in warmer months). Don't worry too much at this point, but if it persists, you may want to see your doctor.
girl, the exact same is happening to me!, i turned 14 yesterday, and sicne 3 weeks my hair has been falling out loads, not normally but when washed it falls out for the whole time its wet and when i come it after washing it, i was worried and went to the doctors and found out it is perfectly normal and part of adolescence , to lessen the amount , my mum bought this shapoo soap thing for me, frm lush-if ur frm england u would hve heard of it, but that and ask for instructions
xox
Apply a paste of hot olive oil and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder before bath and keep for 15 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo. This when done at least once a week will arrest hair fall. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Hi - sounds like you don't have alopecia, but rather trichotillomania, which often requires medical intervention. If you have stopped pulling your hair out, it will grow back soon, but if you haven't stopped, you should go to a doctor, and you might have to go on medication to stop the behavior. Can you talk to your parents about it?
There is some info. below, but read here to see what other people have done about it (click on the links to the right of the page):

Trichotillomania (TTM) is an impulse disorder that causes people to pull out the hair from their scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It is currently defined as an impulse-control disorder, but there are still questions about how it should be classified. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is estimated to affect one to two percent of the population, or four to eleven million Americans.
Who Gets Trichotillomania?
TTM seems to strike most frequently in the pre- or early adolescent years. The typical first-time hair puller is 12 years old, although TTM has affected people as young as one and as old as seventy. It is thought that ninety percent of those with TTM are women, but research is inconclusive and it may simply be the case that men are less likely to seek treatment and can more easily hide their symptoms. A form of TTM that affects very young children appears to occur in males and females at an equal rate and seems to be more benign in nature.
How Do I Know If I Have Trichotillomania?
Although the symptoms range greatly in severity, location on the body, and response to treatment, most people with TTM pull enough hair over a long enough period of time that they have bald spots on their heads (or missing eyelashes, eyebrows, pubic, or underarm hair), which they go to great lengths to cover with hairstyles, scarves or clothing, or makeup. The persistence of the compulsion can vary considerably: For some people, at some times, it is mild and can be quelled with a bit of extra awareness and concentration. For others, at times, the urge may be so strong that it makes thinking of anything else nearly impossible.
Why Doesn't Anyone Seem to Know about Trichotillomania?
TTM did not appear in the popular media in the United States until about 1989. As a result, many people with TTM have gone for many years without adequate Information about their condition, or appropriate treatment. Consequently, the one symptom that most people with TTM share is shame.Teenage hair loss?
i have had alopecia areata, and im still 17. its a disease that gives u bald patches and guess what? there's no known cure. so i learnt some tricks. u can use eyeshadow/eyeliner of your hair color to cover small patches. to grow the hair back regaine 5% - a tropical medicine is very effective especially since u don't have a real problem. u'll see results in a week if followed properly. it may cost you upto 40$.
p.s. read the instructions on regaine before applying.
What you are doing is called Trichotillomania. ';Hair Pulling';. As far as products that will grow your hair back...do not use them. Once you stop using the products the hair can fall out and become worse...try pulling your hair back to cover it if it is long enough. And stop pulling. I have had this for 14 years. It is a heartache. See a doctor that can help you. This habit spirals out of control quickly and lots of people have it. Please feel free to email me at emt_hope911@yahoo.com if you need any further advise. My heart goes out to you.
ouch.. i shall not comment on you pulling out your hair, but i shall say this.. try using olive oil. not the cooking type though. apply to your scalp at night before bed, and if u wish, shampoo it out in the mornings. i do that cos i cant stand the slightly greasy feel. but it really softens your hair. the vitE should help in hair growth.
for styles, i can only think of the ponytail. the high ponytail gives a nice innocent schoolgirl look. i hope ur patch is not too high though..

Teenage hair loss..?
My hair is falling out alot, i have died it but im also not eating right.
what doyou think it is?Teenage hair loss..?
You may also want to look into getting your hormones checked as well as the typical lab work (general chemistry and blood counts) done (make sure they check your thyroid too!) There are so many reasons to lose hair beside just the way you eat, heredity, and how you treat it. Even certain medications can make you lose hair. Stress can make you loose hair too- so stop stressing and go to the doctor! =)Teenage hair loss..?
probably dye
definitely can have something to do with not eating right, especially if you haven't for awhile. make sure you at least take vitamins, try garnier hair strengthening shampoo/conditioner.
it can also be genetic, see if your parents have very thin hair/had lots of hair loss. i've heard of guys going bald as early as 16. ;p
and, last but not least, go to a doctor if it stays like that/gets worse. like the other chick said, it can be something to do with stress, hormones, or anything that might have to do with a change in lifestyle.
what doyou think it is?Teenage hair loss..?
You may also want to look into getting your hormones checked as well as the typical lab work (general chemistry and blood counts) done (make sure they check your thyroid too!) There are so many reasons to lose hair beside just the way you eat, heredity, and how you treat it. Even certain medications can make you lose hair. Stress can make you loose hair too- so stop stressing and go to the doctor! =)Teenage hair loss..?
probably dye
definitely can have something to do with not eating right, especially if you haven't for awhile. make sure you at least take vitamins, try garnier hair strengthening shampoo/conditioner.
it can also be genetic, see if your parents have very thin hair/had lots of hair loss. i've heard of guys going bald as early as 16. ;p

Hair Loss Products: Free Trial Offer
CAUTION: Some hair loss is normal, about 100 strands per day. Before you experiment with hair loss products, insure there are no environmental issues present in your individual case, which could cause hair loss. No hair loss treatments will help until those issues are resolved. Male and female hair loss may be the result of any one of many different factors.
In both men and women, hair loss can be divided into two categories. Hereditary factors, for which there is no proven cure, and environmental factors, for which an abundance of research has provided many solutions. Of the many makers of hair loss products, few are willing to stand behind their products with a guarantee of their effectiveness. The manufacturers of Provillus are so sure that it will stop your hair loss and assist in the regrowth of your hair, due to environmental causes, that they are willing to guarantee satisfaction with a 60 day Free Trial Offer. Because your hair loss may be due to heredity, this product comes with a 180 day money back guarantee, just in case it does not work for you.
Causes of Hair Loss
Unfortunately, science is unable to overcome the effects of genetic differences provided by our parents. Individuals with this type of baldness or hair loss will not respond to traditional methods of treatment. So, I will concentrate on the environmental causes.
Among these environmental causes there are abuse, disease, and completely normal conditions associated with aging. Many of these are controllable, and when the condition or abuse is resolved, the hair loss will stop.
Abuse:
Abuse takes several different forms, the obvious, like self abuse where the subject pulls out their own hair. And more subtle abuses.
1. An unbalanced diet without enough protein can cause temporary hair loss.
Solution: Pay more attention to nutritional needs.
2. Couch Potatoes and an otherwise sedentary lifestyle, lacking in vigorous exercise accelerates hair loss.
Solution: Get up and play an hour a day.
3. Few of us drink enough fluids to maintain normal hydration, even more serious than mere hair loss.
Solution: Set up a plan to drink no less than 8-10 glasses of water a day, in addition to whatever other beverages you enjoy..
4. Too frequent use of shampoos which contain lathering ingredients or surfactants which may irritate the scalp and cause itching and scratching, thus accelerating hair loss.
Solution: Choose hair care products that are milder, or contain herbal formulas.
5. Improper hair care techniques including too frequent use of treatments, hair coloring, blow drying, heat from curling irons and hot rollers which can increase the progression of hair loss. In this case, you need only look on your bathroom floor, sink, and counter tops.
Solution: Eliminate those expensive trips to the salon, except for very special occasions. Consider getting an infrequent permanent, instead of exposing your hair to the daily ritual of “fixing” it. Slow down.
Disease:
Disease can take several forms, the psychological and the physiological. Stress as a result of a major life event such as pregnancy, loss of a loved one or divorce, loss of employment, etc., and major surgery can cause temporary hair loss which will eventually return to normal once the stress is dealt with. There are steps you can take to reduce their effects on your body, like getting more exercise. Seek out a competent professional to help you resolve the issues you are dealing with.
Physiological causes include health conditions such as thyroid abnormalities, lupus, liver or kidney disease and diabetes. As these diseases are more serious than the hair loss, they are best diagnosed by your doctor. Others may be fungal infections, which can be treated effectively by over the counter medications. Another condition is called Alopecia Areata, is identified by circular patches of baldness, where the body is attacking the hair follicles. Cortisone shots in the affective areas are required, and the sooner the better.
Unfortunately, the normal use of some medications for acne, and amphetamines such as those in diet pills can also cause the loss of hair. Check with your prescriber to insure your medications are not the cause.
Aging
Under normal conditions, our bodies change as we age. Men and women age differently. Estrogen and testosterone levels rise and fall in both sexes. Enzymes in the body act on the testosterone to form DHT. Once a woman enters menopause, her estrogen levels drop dramatically, increasing her testosterone levels. As men age, there testosterone levels drop and their estrogen levels increase. As the level of DHT increases, the hair follicles shrink. When they shrink enough, the blood flow is cut off, and they are unable to produce and push a new hair through the restricted follicle. As old hair d
Only if you want to commit to it for the rest of your life. It only works if you keep using it. Once you stop using it, whatever hair grew from using it falls out.
This stuff works, my friend uses it and has had great results. There is the site if you want to check it out!

Teenage Hair Loss?
Male. 19.
Is there a shampoo or treatment that someone could recommend to slow or prevent the loss of hair?Teenage Hair Loss?
There is no shampoo to slow it. Hair loss (Alopecia) can be caused by a number of things. In men, it is often genetic. If your mother's brothers had early hair loss, you are likely to have it. It is passed through the female, but expressed in the male. This is more likely to be the cause if it is thinning on top or in the front. If it is spots where the hair has fallen out, that is a different situation. It is called Alopecia Areata.
';Alopecia Areata
The cause of alopecia areata is unknown, but it is thought to be an autoimmune condition (the body makes antibodies to its own hair) that may affect children or adults of any age. The affected persons are generally in excellent health. This type of hair loss usually causes totally smooth, round patches about the size of a coin or larger. Although rare, it can result in complete loss of scalp and body hair. In most cases the hair regrows; however, dermatologists treat many people with this condition in order to make hair regrow faster
Treatment includes:
cortisone injections in the scalp where the hair loss occurred
topical medications
a special kind of light treatment
Telogen Effluvium
Illness, stress, and other factors can cause too many hairs to enter the resting (telogen) phase of the hair growth cycle, and it produces a dramatic increase in the amount of hair shed (effluvium), usually without bald patches. In many cases, telogen effluvium usually resolves in a few months on its own. Causes of telogen effluvium include:
High Fever, Severe Infection, Severe Flu
Major Surgery/Chronic Illness
Thyroid Disease
Inadequate Protein in Diet
Low Serum Iron
Medications
Cancer Treatments
Tinea Capitis (Scalp Ringworm)
Caused by a fungal infection, tinea capitis is characterized by patches of scaling that can spread and result in broken hair, redness, swelling, and even oozing on the scalp. This contagious disease is most common in children, and oral medication will cure it.';
';A number of things can cause excessive hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary.
Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.
Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.
Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss in children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines.
Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated.
The term ';common baldness'; usually means male-pattern baldness, or permanent-pattern baldness. Male-pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss in men. Men who have this type of hair loss usually have inherited the trait. Men who start losing their hair at an early age tend to develop more extensive baldness. In male-pattern baldness, hair loss typically results in a receding hair line and baldness on the top of the head.
Depending on your type of hair loss, treatments are available. If a medicine is causing your hair loss, your doctor may be able to prescribe a different medicine. Recognizing and treating an infection may help stop the hair loss. Correcting a hormone imbalance may prevent further hair loss.
Medicines may also help slow or prevent the development of common baldness. One medicine, minoxidil (brand name: Rogaine), is available without a prescription. It is applied to the scalp. Both men and women can use it. Another medicine, finasteride (brand name: Propecia) is available with a prescription. It comes in pills and is only for men. It may take up to 6 months before you can tell if one of these medicines is working.';Teenage Hair Loss?
because of your age, you hair is probably falling out due to stress or worry. i remember during my exams, i used to be able to pull out clumps of my hair out in the shower and i thought by the end of my exams i would be bald.
if you have an actual receding hairline, then the best you can do is visit a hairloss clinic and get some hair transplants or something.
if its just because of something stressful, then keep a healthy diet and take vitamin E pills, and drink orange juice.
rogaine. lol
but seriously, just ask someone at a pharmacy. they'll help you. My brother had to ask for help, becasue he started to lose his hair when he was 17.

How can i treat teenage hair loss?
i have been lossing hair for a long time, seen my doctor, but not much help. Have tried many products, dunno what to do now, it's still happenin?!How can i treat teenage hair loss?
a good diet will make your hair healthy, which includes shine, silkiness, softness, strength, and manageability.
vitamin e is good for the hair
it is moisturizing
and vitamin a
is good for the scalp
and healthy hair growth
protein makes ur hair grow faster than anything else because
hair is basically made of protein
so
eat eggs.. and dairy products
yogurt, milk, soymilk, and tofu are great examples
citrus fruits are also good for the hair.. and seaweed has a lot of vitamin a. vitamin a can be found in leafy veggies and carrots, especially. it is important to drink enough water to keep ur hair hydrated. 8-10 glasses is suggested for healthy hair growth. also, iron plays an important role in maintaining and growing healthy hair. iron brings oxygen to the hair, allowing it to breathe like us basically
(not the same way obviously)
and so if u dont take enough iron.. ur hair will be starved of oxygen and lose its shine, luster, etc.
b vitamins are also great for the hair. salmon, coldwater fish, and sardines are great fish that contain many of the vitamins hair needs.
i hope this information helped you!!How can i treat teenage hair loss?
If your a guy, there is probably little you can do about hair loss, you just got hit young w/ male pattern baldness (shaved look isn't all bad though) For a girl, it's more serious and I'd say see another doctor (actually if you are a guy, a second opinion can't hurt either)
